My thoughts and prayers are with Rose's family. I remember her working at Piggly Wiggly. She was so pretty and sweet. I also remember her from my teenage years when Katy Stallings and I were best friends. Blessings to her family.

I loved you for a lot of years, Aunt Rose. Spent lots of Christmases with you. Heard lots of stories of your dogs and your daycare kids. Spent lots of time chatting with you about my dating life. You were always interested to hear about my life, and you were thrilled to meet my husband and precious daughter. I remember how you cried at not being able to attend Gran's funeral, saying, "How I loved that woman!" I told you you'd see her again because of your mutual faith in Jesus. But you had grown so scared of death, suddenly unsure what happened, even though you'd believed all your life that for a Christian to be absent here was to be present with the Lord. I'm glad you have clarity now, so that your soul can rest and relish in the peace and love of Jesus' physical presence. And I know Gran welcomed you, so I hope you'll tell her how much I miss her. You'll both remain in my heart til I see you both again.
