Mrs. Williams passed away on Sunday, May 28, 2017 in Kilgore.

Mrs. Williams was born on July 13, 1920 in Lincoln, Arkansas to the late William W. Bliss and Annie Myers. She was a member of the First Pentecostal Church in Kilgore and was a homemaker. During all her years as a minister’s wife, Mrs. Williams welcomed many aspiring young preachers into her home. While these men learned how to minister to God’s flock from Brother Williams, Mrs. Williams became their “Mamaw” and a shining example of a pastor’s wife. In fact, most everyone who knew her well, referred to her as Mamaw, a tribute to her loving kind nature. Mrs. Williams enjoyed flowers, reading and quilting and her cooking and peanut brittle will be greatly missed by her family and friends. The Lord and family was the source of her strength and spending time with her family was when she was the happiest and will be dearly missed by all that knew her.

Preceding her are her son, Rev. Tommy Williams; six sisters and five brothers.

Left to cherish her memory is her husband of 73 years, Rev. Walter Williams of Kilgore; daughter, Mary Pharris and husband Russell of Kilgore; son, Walter Williams, Jr. and wife Sherry of Fruitvale, Texas; grandchildren, Marc Pharris, LaRonda Pharris, Russell Pharris, Jr., Kaylynn Strawn, Stephanie Rivero, Josh Williams, Stormy Canady and Anthony Williams; great grandchildren, Kennedy Bryant, Gunter Pharris, Christopher Pharris, Jonathan Pharris, Victoria Pharris, Noah Strawn, Faith Strawn, Abigail Rivero, Jonathan Rivero, Isiah Rivero, Brenna Williams, Brylee Williams, Breagan Williams, Brycen Williams, Quinton Williams and Bethany Thompson; great great grandchildren, Addyson Strawn and Atticus Strawn and numerous nieces and nephew and other loving family members.
