Mrs. Couch passed away on Saturday, June 10, 2017 in Tyler.

Mrs. Couch was born on January 13, 1928 in Belgian Congo to the late Ferdinand Kerremans and Josephine Lhonneux. She grew up in Liege Belgium. She was a member of the Chandler Street Church of Christ in Kilgore and was a homemaker. Georgette was a devoted wife, loving mother and loyal friend. She was married to Truman for 62 years. Theirs was a story of love at first sight between a Belgian city girl and an American country boy. Through good times and difficult times their love and commitment held firm. Her three children were blessed to call her mother. She devoted her life to raising her children and when they were grown she was always there for them. No item she owned was too precious to be offered it to her children or grandchildren. Advice also flowed freely from her and was usually just what was needed at the time. One of her richest legacies was her stories of life growing up in the midst of a World War. She had the opportunity to share some of her wit and wisdom writing articles for a short time for the Pittsburgh, TX Gazette. She loved to read books and knit. She donated many of her knitted caps to cancer patients. She attended ladies Bible Study and Love Overflowing. Georgette was also a loyal friend to many. She faithfully stayed in touch with her friends through the years. Her oldest friend described her as there being none other like her. She was continually thinking of others and concerned for the well being of those she loved. Her faith in Jesus Christ was strong and she is now rejoicing with Him in heaven. She will be sorely missed here on earth by all who love her.

Preceding her in death are brother, Roger Kerremans and niece, Georgette Siscot.

Left to cherish her memory is her husband of 62 years, Odis Truman Couch of Liberty City, daughter, Suzanne Herman and husband Glen of Tyler; sons, Travis Couch and wife Caryn of Liberty City and Phillip Couch and wife Patti of Rockwall, Texas; grandchildren, Jennifer Sparks and husband Cal, Nicole Nicholson and husband Eddie, Cayce Rutledge and husband John, Aaron Herman, Nathan Herman and wife Kayla, and Caroline Couch; great grandchildren, Callie Sparks, Colt Sparks, Cooper Sparks, Avery Nicholson, Elliott Rutledge, Graham Rutledge and Mayah Rutledge and other numerous loving family members.
