Mr. William Penney, 54, of Liberty City passed away Sunday, May 13 wrapped in the loving arms of his family. He was born on July 3, 1963 in Hyannis, Massachusetts, son of Art and June Pike Penney.

William graduated from Sabine High School and served our country in the United States Army and was a Desert Storm Veteran. He had been employed with Steelman Industries in Kilgore. William loved going fishing and dancing. William enjoyed spending time with his family and many close friends.

He is survived by his parents Art and June Penney of Liberty City; girlfriend, Jonna Craver of Liberty City; sisters, Bonnie Penney Koechel and husband Greg of Deer Park, Peggy Penney Mick and husband Mike of Brenham, and Terry Penney Land and husband Eric of Tyler; grandson, Harlon Edwards; nieces and nephew, Katie, T.J., April, Monica, Elizabeth, and Megan; several great nieces and nephews; special friends, Colby and Sara Rabatin, Zack Craver, and Hether Craver

The family will receive friends at Rader Funeral Home in Kilgore from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 15, 2018.

In lieu of flowers the family ask that memorials be made to the National Foundation for Transplants or the American Cancer Society.
