Beulah J. Edmonds
1/12/1917 - 3/2/2010

Private committal services for Beulah J. Edmonds, 93, of Tyler will be at Greenhill Cemetery, Muskogee, Oklahoma, on Saturday, March 13, 2010.   Mrs. Edmonds died on
Tuesday, March 2, 2010 in Tyler.

Beulah Edmonds was born January 12, 1917 in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma, to Luedrick Earl and Bessie Harman.  The youngest of three children and with two older brothers, she grew up in a happy, rollicking, athletic family.  Beulah graduated from Tulsa Central High School, Tulsa, Oklahoma in 1935 and shortly thereafter married her high school sweetheart, Charles S. Edmonds.  They were married 59 years before his death in 1995, living in Texas and Ohio before retiring, first in Quitman and then Tyler.  Following retirement, they made dozens of friends while traveling in their recreational vehicle throughout the U.S., Canada, and Mexico.  In Tyler, they were members of Marvin Methodist Church and were active in Meals On Wheels.  Beulah was for many years a member of Green Acres Garden Club.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her brothers, Ludy and George Harman; her son Douglas E. Edmonds; her grandson Clayton D. Edmonds; and her great-granddaughter Taylor Pirc.

Beulah is survived by her elder son Don R. Edmonds and beloved daughter-in-law Bonny, of Tyler; by grandchildren Amy L. Lucus and husband Lynn, Tyler, Cassie L. Edmonds, Tyler, Elizabeth Hayes and husband Craig, Euless, and Cristy Pirc and husband Gary, Joliet, Illinois; by two great-granddaughters and two great-grandsons; and by a number of nieces and nephews.

She was a talented athlete, an easygoing, but efficient homemaker , and an always patient, loving mother and grandmother.  She was a stylish dresser, a take-no-prisoners poker player, and had a natural. winning smile for all.  She traveled the world and never met a stranger.  In her last years, she slipped into Alzheimer's Disease, losing her memory but never her old, sweet self.  She lived a very long time and died peacefully.  She would not have wished for more.  She will be sorely missed by all who loved her.
