BARBARA LONGMIRE

Barbara Louise Longmire, 72, passed away Thursday, May 02, 2019 in Kilgore. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, May 5, 2019 at Abundant Life Pentecostal Church in Gladewater. Visitation will be 3-5 p.m. Sunday, May 05, 2019 at Rader Funeral Home in Kilgore. Interment will take place at Danville Cemetery.

Barbara was born January 25, 1947 in Kilgore, Texas to Henry Clay Brigmon and Fannie Dutile Brigmon. She was a small lady with a dynamite personality, who was the life of every party and loved to bake, cook, mow her lawn, rake and burn leaves and shop with her granddaughters.
Barbara was very passionate about her family, she loved her children, her grandchildren and “HER GOD.” She was a faithful member of Abundant Life Pentecostal Church in Gladewater. Barbara was a dedicated Sunday School Teacher for 56 years who had the reputation for making the Bible “come-alive” and the talent to make everyone desire to know more about God. She served as Ladies Auxiliary President at the First Pentecostal Church in Kilgore for many years. Being heavily involved with the youth of the church for most of her married life; she was in her natural element when praying with them and others in the altar. Barbara had a true, God-given passion for souls and loving people. The legacy that she leaves is filled with prayer, hard-work and loyalty to the Kingdom of God. She was a devoted wife for 54 years and was dearly loved by all who knew her leaving a void that cannot be filled.

Barbara was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Larry Longmire, brother, Wayne Dean Brigmon; and sisters-in-law, Janette Brigmon and Sherry Longmire.

Left to cherish her memory are her sons, Dwayne Longmire and his wife, Mandi, Shane Longmire and his wife, Julie; daughter, Amy Longmire Toerck and her husband, Bobby; grandchildren, Christopher Longmire, Andrew Longmire, Alyssa Longmire, Bethanie Longmire, Matthew Longmire, Makayla Longmire, Nikki Dumas, Dwayne Longmire, Jr., Caleb Longmire, Jordan Toerck and Morgan Toerck; brothers, Roger Brigmon and his wife, Martha and Charles Brigmon. Also left to carry on her legacy are numerous nieces, nephews, brothers and sister in law, church family, friends and other loving family members.
