Robert “Bob” Taylor
A memorial visitation for Robert “Bob” Taylor, 71, of Mineola, will be held on April 5, 2021, from 11 am until 1 pm in the Chapel of Rader Funeral Home in Kilgore. Mr. Taylor completed his earthly journey on Wednesday, March 17, 2021 in Tyler.
Bob was born in Kansas City, KS, to Herman and Betty Taylor. He graduated from Drexel High School in Drexel, MO. He faithfully served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. Bob owned several businesses; Taylor Mowing, Taylor Construction and Firebird Trucking. He enjoyed riding motorcycles, racing cars, hunting, fishing, grilling meats, cooking outdoors, working on machinery and raising cows and horses. Bob was also a member of the NRA, VFW and American Legion. He will be greatly missed for many reasons and always remembered for his dry wit and sense of humor.
Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 37 years, Delinda Taylor of Mineola; children, Tara Monroe of Katy, Robert Kingsley and his wife Patrice of Kilgore, Ashley Smith and husband Justin of Longview; grandchildren, Andrew Carrasco, Joshua Carrasco, Ayden Monroe, Gavin Monroe, Sarah Kingsley, Juston Kingsley, Elijah Smith; siblings, Kenneth Taylor and his wife Linda of Denison, Herman Taylor of Drexel, MO, Linda Dover of Drexel, MO, Mary Taylor Oldham of Nashville, TN; mother-in-law, Kay Douglas of Killeen nieces Brenda Gorsage, Joyce Sanders. Also, left to carry on his legacy are numerous, nieces, nephews, friends, and other loving family members.
Bob was reunited with his parents and sister-in-law Barbara Taylor.
