Debra L Gale was born March 13, 1955, in Kilgore, Texas to Gerald and Jean Keys. She grew up in Kilgore and graduated from Kilgore High School in 1973.

Deb embraced life and lived it to the fullest. From archery, fishing, and refinishing furniture to cross stitch, reading and a good game of Scrabble, Deb’s interests reached far and wide. She enjoyed quiet afternoons in her garden watching the birds and admiring the flowers and she joyfully attended Peach Fellowship Church. But, Deb loved nothing more than a good laugh and time shared with family and close friends. Her two sons and their children brought her the greatest happiness.

Deb married Gary Gale on May 15, 2001, and they spent 21 years living, loving, and adventuring together. Her generous spirit and warmth for others led Deb to attend nursing school at Western Wyoming Community College in Rock Springs where she graduated as a Registered Nurse in 2005. Deb worked at Memorial Hospital of Sweetwater County in Wyoming from 2005 to 2015 before moving to Texas and finishing her career caring for others at Hospitality ER in Longview, Texas.

Deb rejoined her parents on Friday, August 26, 2022. She is survived by her husband Gary Gale, son Jeff Leach, son Justin Leach and his wife Lancia Leach; grandchildren Gage Leach, Avery Leach, Ashton Leach, Thor Leach and Quinn Leach; sister Karen Gillikin and her husband Lem Gillikin, sister Malia Knight and her husband Randy Knight, brother Ronnie Keys and his wife Alice Keys and four dear friends who were like sisters: Pat Cummins, Becky Rose, Brenda Case and Starla Lujan. Also, left to cherish her memory are many nieces, nephews, friends and other loving family members.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to Peace Fellowship Church 2855 US 259, Diana TX 75640 or Longview Animal Care and Adoption Center 303 HG Mosely Parkway, Longview, Tx 75604
