On Saturday, February 13, 2021, Mrs. Dorothy June Hill Forth, loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother passed away at age 88.
Dorothy was born November 13, 1932 to O. J. and Willie Ethel Hill. She married her high school sweetheart, Fred Forth, in 1951. The couple moved to Kilgore, Texas during the early 1950s to raise their family. Dorothy loved her family and friends and cherished spending time with them above all else. Traveling all over the world provided many wonderful memories and stories. Dorothy loved her volunteer work through numerous civic organizations and her church, First Baptist Church of Kilgore. As a member of the Pilot Club of Kilgore, she served as president numerous times and worked the helpline for seniors. She enjoyed Home Demonstrations Club with her crafts and the Kilgore Garden Club.
Mrs. Dorothy Forth is preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Fred Forth, son David Forth, granddaughter Cindy Cline, both of her parents, brother Odis Hill and brother Eddie Hill. She is survived by her daughter Susan Forth Atkins (husband Michael) and son Greg Forth (wife Joy), grandchildren: Josh and Niccole Forth, Jason and Rachel Hooten, Heather and Joshua Wilson, Monica and Randy Cooke, Patrick and Catie Jimerson, Stina and Vee Herrera. Along with great-grandchildren: Faizon Forth, Caleb Hooten, Adam Hooten, Nathan Hooten, Hailey Lilley, Madison Lilley, Andrew Forth, Alaina Forth, Harmony Wilson, Amanda Creswell, Damon Carnley, Conner Chandler, Jaxon Jimerson, Tucker Jimerson, Ella Herrera, Sully Herrera as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and loving friends. As Dorothy often said, “God has blessed me so much.”
Services for Mrs. Dorothy Hill Forth, 88, of Kilgore will be held on Saturday, February 20, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. in the Rader Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend David Hampton officiating. The family will receive friends on Friday, February 19, 2021 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
