Jimmy L. Marler

Services for Mr. Jimmy Marler, 81, of Kilgore will be held on Saturday, September 10, 2022, at 3:00 P.M. at Trinity Baptist Church in Lakeport with Reverend Ross Law officiating. Burial will follow in the Danville Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday from 6-8 P.M. Mr. Marler passed away on Tuesday, September 6, 2022.

Jimmy was born on November 14, 1940, in Hazlehurst, Mississippi. He graduated from Longview High School in1958. Jimmy was 32nd Degree Mason. He enjoyed bowling and playing bingo. Jimmy was a very active member of Trinity Baptist Church. He retired from Eastman Chemical Company after over 38 years of employment.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Winfred and Doris Hughes Marler; sister, Christine Willeford, and his wife, Billie Lou Marler.

Left to cherish his memory are his sons; Clif and René Marler of Kilgore and Warren Lane Marler of Kilgore; brother, Winfred Marler, Jr, and his wife Dianne of Gastonia, North Carolina; sister, Mary Shank of Longview; grandchildren, Gage Marler, McKenna Marler, Meredith Marler, Jacqueline Manning, and Tye Haire; great-grandchildren, Cannon, Kylar, Cooper, Kaysen, Ella, and Nash; several nieces, nephews, other family and friends, and special friend Barbara Robbins.
