John C. Magness

Funeral services for Mr. John C. Magness, 52, of Snook, Texas, formerly of Kilgore will be held on Friday, March 4, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. in the Rader Funeral Home Chapel in Kilgore with Reverend Joey Holden officiating. Burial will follow at the Conner Cemetery near Beckville. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 6:00 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. John passed away on Monday, March 1, 2022, in Bryan, Texas.

John was born on September 29, 1969, in Carthage, Texas. He had lived in the Bryan/College Stations area for the last 21 years. John enjoyed music, fishing, and telling jokes. He loved making people laugh. John was a hard worker and great provider for his family. He will be missed by his family, large extended family, and many friends.

John is survived by his wife of 31 years, Stacy Magness of Snook; father and step-mother, Curtis and Doris Magness of Kilgore; his children, Dylan Magness and wife Jamie of Hearne, TX, Christal Magness of College Station, TX, Ajay Magness and Racheal Magness both of Snook; grandchildren, Paisleigh Magness, and Presleigh Magness; grandbaby on the way, Axel Magness; grandchildren-in-love, Dakota Cherico, and Kellan Mikulin; siblings, Eddy Proctor and wife Amy of Harleton, TX, James Magness of Hallsville, TX, Ricky George and wife Christy of Overton, TX, David George and wife Virginia of Hallsville, TX, Tiffany Murphy and husband Russ of Kilgore, and William Delaney of Overton; also survived by his aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and other family and friends.

John was preceded in death by his mother, Margie Magness.
