Peggy Kelly

Peggy Lynn Kelly, 78, of Kilgore, passed away January 8, 2022, in a Longview Hospital.
A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, January 22, 2022, at 5:00 pm for friends and family at The Back Porch, Kilgore. Peggy, or “Lynn” as she was known outside family, repeatedly made her wishes known. She wanted everyone to gather for a meal, visit, and celebrate together in remembrance of her.
Born August 2, 1945, to Ted Dale and Betty Sue Windham Darby in Abilene, Texas. She had resided in Kilgore for a number of years. She loved doing different kinds of crafts and was interested in a wide variety of subjects. Her latest hobby of dot painting was beautiful work. She was a former Florida state women’s pool champion, as well as an accomplished pianist.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Betty Louise Darby Merriman.
Survivors include one daughter, Shara Lea Kelly of Austin and one son, Jarrett Darby Kelly and wife Andrea of Crewe, VA; one sister, Wilora Darby Tucker of Kilgore, eleven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
