Alicen "Ali" Blanchard Akin

Cremation arrangements for Alicen “Ali” B. Akin 30, of Kilgore are under the direction of Rader Funeral Home in Kilgore. Ali completed her earthly journey on March 30, 2023, in Overton.

Ali was born on January 18, 1993, in Dallas, Texas, to Tammy Lynn Cubine and Dr. Joel Blanchard Akin. She attended Kilgore Independent School District and obtained her GED from Kilgore College. She was very active in High School and participated in competitive cheer and National Honors Society. Ali was very intelligent and could do anything she set her mind to. She adored spending time with her family specifically her nieces and cousins. Ali loved animals and enjoyed talking with her father about his work as a veterinarian. Her hobbies included fishing, reading, listening to music, and playing video games. She was a beloved daughter, sister, niece, and friend to many. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Left to cherish her memory are her father Dr. Joel Blanchard Akin of Dallas, sisters Jenifer Cubine and husband Ronnie Smith of Kilgore and Emily Amanda Bolling, aunts Sharon Whitfield and husband Dr. James Whitfield of Rockwall, Debbie Isaacks of Arp, and Julie Akin, Uncle Jerry Cubine and wife Karla of Kilgore, nieces Ashlynn Smith and Ronnie Smith of Kilgore, and cousins Jessica Baker, Jacob Isaacks, Zachary Isaacks, Trey Cubine, Kaleb Cubine, J.R. Whitfield, Tadd Whitfield and Robyn Plank.

Ali was reunited with her mother Tammy Lynn Cubine, maternal grandparents, Gerald and Joyce Cubine, paternal grandparents Charles “Chuck” Wesley Akin and Alice Kathrine Blanchard Akin, Uncle Marvin Isaacks and stepmother Laura Susan Monroe.
