Barbara Jean Hernandez

Services for Barbara Jean Hernandez, 77 of Kilgore will be held on Monday, January 23, 2023 at two o’clock in the afternoon at Rader Funeral Home in Kilgore with Pastor Danny Menges officiating. The family will receive friends from six until eight o’clock in the evening on Sunday, January 22, 2023, at Rader Funeral Home in Kilgore. Mrs. Hernandez passed away peacefully on January 19, 2023, surrounded by family.

Barbara was born on October 7, 1945, in Henderson, to Fred Jimmerson and Mary L. Jarvis. She worked as a cashier for Kids Jones until her retirement. Her favorite time of the year were the holidays and all the foods that came along with them. Barbara loved to spend time with her family. She was an animal lover and cared deeply for her dogs. She was married to the love of her life Jesus “Jessie” Hernandez for thirty-nine years. Barbara adored her husband the last words she spoke was his name. She was a loving mother, wife, sister, grandmother, great and great-great grandmother. She will be greatly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.

Left to cherish her memory are her husband Jesus (Jessie) Hernandez of Kilgore/Liberty City, daughters Brenda Fletcher and husband Curtis of Henderson, Lisa Browning of Kilgore, son Jay Browning of Longview, grandchildren, Leslie Fears and husband Robbie, Darwin Fletcher and wife Amanda, Joseph Carroll, and Danielle Stewart, great-grandchildren, Alex Andrews and wife Meridith, Madalyn Lee, Arabella Fletcher, Ayden Arciga, Nicholas Fletcher, Kash Fletcher, Vance Fletcher, and Brooklyn Fletcher, great-great-grandchildren Josiah Lee, brothers-in-law Marcelino Hernandez and wife Jill, and Jesus (Martinez) Hernandez.

Barbara was reunited with her parents, sisters Virgie Colley, Marie Peterson, and Leda Nearn, brothers, Junior (Bug) Jimmerson, and James (Sonny) Jimmerson.
