Beatrice "Bea" Barker Liske

August 14, 1926 — February 21, 2023

Beatrice Barker Liske passed away peacefully in her sleep on Feb 21, 2023 in Longview, TX.

Bea, as quite a few called her, is survived by her son Lester Liske and wife Charlene of Delta, PA, her daughter Lorraine Liske White of Liberty City, TX, and her son Larry Liske and wife Sharon of Delta, PA. She is also survived by her grandchildren Debra (Debi) Roberts Cazares of Longview, TX, Daniel White and wife Robbie of Liberty City, TX, Sheree Liske Freund of Bel Air, MD, Khrystyna Liske of Red Lion, PA, Steven Liske of Delta, PA, and great-grandchildren Manuel (Manny) Cazares, Gwenyth Klim, and Anthony Freund, as well as several nieces and nephews and greats.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years Henry (Hank) F Liske, her parents Jesse James and Ellen Mullen Barker, and her brother Russel Cornelius Barker.

While in Michigan, Bea was an avid vegetable gardener and you could count on her having some canned vegetables every season, ready for the table. You could also find her helping out her husband Hank in the machine shop. Once she got to Texas, you could find her crocheting, embroidering, or making quilt squares. She always had multiple projects going on at the same time and rarely used a pattern. But above all, Bea had an infectious laugh and a witty sense of humor that will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

There will not be a memorial service for Bea at this time. She will be interred into Evergreen Cemetery in Alpena, MI next to her husband Hank at a later date.
