Becky Cook, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend departed this life peacefully October 27, 2024, in Kilgore, Texas, surrounded by her loving family. Born on May 21, 1952, in Sweetwater, Texas, Becky's warmth, kindness, and faith touched the lives of all who had the privilege to know her.
Becky was a woman of deep faith and an unwavering commitment to serving others. She devoted her life to God at the tender age of five and never wavered in her spiritual journey. As a pastor's wife, her legacy was deeply rooted in her desire to point others to Christ. Becky's gentle spirit and gratitude for all her blessings were evident to everyone who knew her. She devoted over 30 years of her life to nursing, serving compassionately as a Rehabilitation Nurse at Trinity Mother Francis. Her career was a significant part of her identity, not only providing care to those in need but also drawing strength and fulfillment from the relationships forged with her patients and colleagues. Beyond her positions and accomplishments, she cherished her role as a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother.
In her 51 years of marriage to her husband Danny, Becky found joy and partnership that brought her immense happiness. Together they built a life filled with love, laughter, and unforgettable moments. She was the proud mother of two sons, Kevin and Kendall, and through them, she welcomed daughters-in-law Kelley and Allison, expanding her family with love. Becky's grandchildren—Kaylie, Kade, Kohl, Kerry, Katherine, and Danny—were the pride of her heart, bringing her endless joy and fulfillment. Fall would become her favorite season, where she would delight in camping trips and singing gatherings, creating memories that will forever resonate within the hearts of her family.
Becky's graceful spirit shone brightly in many aspects of her life. Her love for singing filled not just her home but also the halls of her church, where she contributed her beautiful voice in praise. Her gratitude for life’s gifts was evident in her personality, always appreciating the warmth of family, the beauty of nature during autumn, and the laughter shared around a campfire.
The legacy of Becky Cook now continues to thrive through her immediate family, who will forever cherish her love and support. She will be dearly missed and is survived by her husband Danny Cook, sons Kevin Cook and Kendall Cook, daughters-in-law Kelley and Allison Cook, and her cherished grandchildren Kaylie, Kade, Kohl, Kerry, Katherine, and Danny. She will be lovingly remembered by family and friends whose lives she touched with her generous spirit.
Becky's parents, Zula and Oscar Hunt, along with her brothers, Donald and Ronald Hunt, have preceded her in death, and while they are no longer with her in this earthly realm, their love remains part of the tapestry of her incredible life.
