Benilde "Bennie" Garcia Baldillez

Benilde “Bennie” Baldillez, of Gladewater are under the direction of Rader Funeral Home in Kilgore. A visitation will be held on Saturday September 16th from twelve until one o’clock in the afternoon at Rader Funeral Home in Kilgore, with a funeral service to follow. At the conclusion of the service, Bennie will be reunited with her husband, Alejandro, at Kilgore Memorial Garden Cemetery.

Bennie, 88, completed her earthly journey on Sunday, September 10, 2023, in Gladewater, Texas surrounded by her dear loved ones.

Bennie was born on August 21, 1935, in Kingsville, Texas to Soila Gonzalez and Ignacio Garcia. She met Alejandro Baldillez at King Ranch in Kingsville, Texas and would leave school to become a proud wife and homemaker. During their time together, the pair had four sons: Abelardo, Alex Jr., Roy and Orlando, and two daughters: Blanca and Gicelda. Bennie loved horse racing, where she would often watch her husband and sons train and ride. She was also a lover of good food, sewing and crafting.

She is survived by her children; Gicelda (Arturo) Arellano of Premont, Texas, Alex Baldillez, Jr. of Arlington, Texas, Roy (Angela) Baldillez of Premont, Texas, Blanca (Rickey) Simmons of Gladewater, Texas and Orlando Baldillez of Opelousas, Louisiana; caregiver and special friend, Sandra Warren, twelve grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren, along with numerous other loving friends and family members.

She is reunited in passing with her son, Abelardo Baldillez and her husband of 50 years, Alejandro Baldillez, parents, grandparents, siblings, aunts, uncles, and countless beloved family members, friends, and her furry companion of 19 years, Sophie.

The family would like to extend a special heartful thankful for the kindness, dedication and care Sandra Warren showed to Bennie throughout her time of need. The family cannot express in words the gratefulness they hold in their hearts for you and the care you gave Mom, Sandra.
