Betty Jean Tucker

May 30, 1947 — March 22, 2024

Betty “Jean” Tucker, also known to many as Ms Jean or Memaw, was born on May 30, 1947 in Gladewater, TX. And was called home to be with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on March 22, 2024.

Jean is survived by her sisters; Shirley & Ray Frensley, Patsy & Rodney Farmer and Sue & Pete Wheeler, her children; Kristan & Paul Castro and Denny Tucker Jr. & Karen Miller Kopp, her grandchildren; Addison Tucker, Coby Hudgins and Gabriele & Manny Priego, and her great grandson Blaze Priego, along with many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband, Denny C Tucker Sr., her daughter Melissa Tucker along with many siblings and her parents.

Jean will be remembered as a trusting, hard working woman who could be counted on rain, sleet or shine. She took great pride and enjoyment in her work as a housekeeper. She worked for Perry D Reed for 30+ years and loved him and his wife Shannon as her own. She worked hard her whole life to make sure no one she knew (and some she didn’t know) went without. Jean was softhearted toward children and animals – especially her dog Sadie who she rescued off the street. Jean is a mother of three children Denny, Misi & Kristan to whom she loved greatly and would do anything to ensure they were happy. Her world revolved around her grandchildren Coby, Gabby & Addy along with her great grandson Blaze and she refused to be absent from as many school or sporting events they participated in.

In her spare time, she enjoyed being with friends and family as well as helping her niece with her office work. She had a passion for crafts, cooking and all things Elvis Presley.

Mrs. Betty Jean Tucker will be deeply missed and as a follower of Christ there is no doubt she is enjoying paradise with her husband Denny C Tucker and her eldest daughter Melissa “Misi” Tucker at this very moment.

Celebration of Life service will be held in her honor at 11:00am on April 13, 2024 at the Chapel of Rader Funeral Home in Kilgore, TX officiated by her nephew, Burnis White. Online condolences may be to www.raderfuneralhome.com.
