Beverly Kay Hardee Monroe

Services for Mrs. Beverly Kay Hardee Monroe, 78, of Kilgore will be held on Saturday, July 8, 2023, at ten o’clock in the morning at the Chapel of Rader Funeral Home in Kilgore with Pastor Roger Hefner. A visitation will be held on Friday, July 7, 2023, at the Chapel of Rader Funeral Home in Kilgore from six to eight o’clock in the evening. Mrs. Monroe completed her earthly journey on Monday, July 3, 2023, at her home in Kilgore.

Beverly was born on October 28, 1944, in Shreveport, Louisiana to Alice and Johnnie Hardee. She married the love of her life David F. Monroe on October 24, 1983. They shared thirty-four joyful years of marriage together before his passing in 2018. Beverly’s family was her source of strength and happiness. She loved nothing more than being with family. Beverly was a generous and caring person. She had a green thumb and was extremely creative. She adored gardening, decorating, cooking, spending time outdoors and on her porch. Beverly also loved her fur-babies and had a special place in her heart for animals. She will be greatly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.

Left to cherish her memory are her children Jerry Wayne Knight II of Kilgore, Cindy Hefner and husband Roger of Liberty City, Tracey Knight and wife Gina of Kilgore, and step-daughter Patti McDonald, siblings Peggy Bradshaw of Liberty City, Skip Hardee of Louisiana, and Chris Hardee and wife Linda of Liberty City, brother-in-law Gary Monroe of Indiana, grandchildren Nicholas Knight and wife Calie, T.J. Knight and wife Lisa, Kacen Knight, Jeremy Hefner, Brittany Hefner, Amanda Hefner, Michael McDonald, David McDonald, and Dalton Jones, several great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews and other loving family and friends.

Beverly was preceded in death by her parents Johnnie and Alice Hardee, husband David F. Monroe, stepdaughter Kerri Jones, son-in-law Mike McDonald and daughter-in-law Sandra Knight.
