Blanche Sanderson Miller, 84, of Longview, joined the church triumphant, on Saturday, September 28, 2024, surrounded by her family and loved ones. A Homegoing Celebration will be held on Wednesday, October 2, 2024, at 12 pm with Reverand Kenneth Antley officiating. The family will receive friends from 11 am until 12 pm, prior to the service. Celebration and burial services are under the direction of and will be held at Rader Funeral Home in Kilgore. Burial will immediately follow in Rosewood Park Cemetery in Longview.
Blanche was born on June 4, 1940, in Greenville, MS, to the late Byron and Esther Godsey Sanderson. She attended and graduated from Greenville High School. Upon graduation Blanche left home and forged her own path in life. In June of 1961 Blanche married Chester Miller. Chester’s career led him to Frito-Lay, and they lived in numerous places during his career. These places included Louisiana, Arkansas, Illinois, and Texas. While in Illinois she worked for the Naperville ISD as a secretary. Blanche went on to obtain her real estate license when they lived in the Dallas/Ft. Worth Metroplex. She obtained both the Millionaire and Billionaire Clubs in sales while serving the elite of DFW.
Blanche enjoyed shopping in stores and online, fishing, stained glass, and cement art, playing piano, gardening, being outdoors, RV traveling and traveling abroad. She was also very thankful to be a 50-year breast cancer survivor.
Blanche’s husband Chester fought a courageous battle with diabetes and end stage renal disease. He received treatment at the 4th Street Dialysis Center. They met John and Bobbie Sue Wright; she was also receiving dialysis treatments. After Chester and Bobbie Sue’s transitioned from labor to reward. Blanche and John became friends and eventually life partners. They spent the next 19 years making many happy and wonderful memories. They enjoyed traveling, playing Wahoo, and visiting with family and friends. Their travels included, England, France, Wales, Ireland, the Suez Canal, Alaska, and numerous states within the USA.
Blanche was reunited with her parents Byron and Esther, siblings, husband Chester Miller, Jr., Chester “Chet” Miller, III, along with numerous family and loved ones.
Left to cherish her memory are her life partner John H. Wright of Longview; daughter, Melanie Miller of Ponder; grandchildren, Andrew Friddle (Heather) of North Pole, AK, Matthew Friddle(Kassie) of Aubrey; great-grandchildren, AJ Friddle of Saint Jo, Chase Friddle of Ponder, Kason Friddle, Wesley, Natalie and Hunter Sanders, of Aubrey; daughter in love, Lori Rainwater of Nashville, TN; bonus son Stephen Wright (Jennifer) of Ketchikan, AK; bonus grandkids, Canaan Wright (Morgan Gray) of Tyler, Leah Montandon (Cody Blakeman) of New London, Logan Montandon (Shayna Furlong) of Overton, Michael Montandon (Bonnie) of Longview; bonus great-grandkids, Parker Cole, Hadley Reese, Bevyn Rose, Deacon Champ Montandon all of Longview, Everleigh Ann Loya of New London; family of choice Harvey, Georgia, Lance and Wesley Pharis of Longview. Also left to carry on her legacy are numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and other loving members.
