Brad K. Thrower

A Celebration of Life for Brad K. Thrower, 72, of Kilgore will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, March 13, 2021 in the Chapel of Rader Funeral Home in Kilgore with rev. Brad West officiating. Mr. Thrower completed his earthly journey in his home, surrounded by his family on Sunday, March 7, 2021.

Brad was born on February 11, 1949, in Tuscaloosa, AL, to Rudy and Elsie Thrower. He was a member of the Kilgore High School Class of 1967. Continuing his education, he graduated from Kilgore College and received his Bachelor’s Degree from East Texas State University. Brad owned and operated Rudy’s Pit Stop and Peddler’s Pizza until his retirement. Brad was avid sports fan especially the University of Alabama football team. He also enjoyed watching movies. Brad’s family, especially his grandchildren, was the source of his strength and joy. Spending time with them was when he was happiest. He will be greatly missed by all of those whose lives he has touched.

Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 48 years, Jeanie Thrower of Kilgore; children, Jill Gee and her husband Alain of Kilgore, Rudy Thrower of Kilgore, Ann Reeves and her husband Jerry of Kilgore; grandchildren, Karson Gee, Kylar Gee, Kelton Thrower and his wife Amy, Kaley Thrower, Kaden Thrower, Knoxx Thrower, Grant Reeves, Brady Reeves, Eli Reeves; great-grandchild, Aurria Thrower; sister Milli Madison of Kilgore and special niece, Emily Bailey and her husband Shane of Kilgore. Also, left to carry on his legacy are numerous nieces, nephews, friends, and other loving family members.
