Charles B. Tooker, 92, of Waco, Texas completed his earthly journey on December 21, 2023, in Kilgore, Texas with his beloved daughter at his side.
Charles was born September 11, 1931, in Waco, Texas to Inez Tooker. Born and raised in Waco, Charles spent the majority of his life there. He met and married the love of his life, Jean Tooker in Waco. Together the two raised their daughter, Sharon. For over 50 years the pair enjoyed their life together. They especially enjoyed their travels, together the two went on many cruises but the favorite of their trips was their time spent in Italy. The Vatican was an important place in Charles’ heart as he was raised catholic and felt a sense of fulfillment once having experienced the exquisite spiritual center and home of the Pope. While this trip was incredible, still Charles’ favorite place to be was with his family. No matter what, Charles was ever present and loving. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He moved to Kilgore, Texas for the last two years of his life to be closer to his daughter, Sharon Staehs. After Jean passed away in July 2022, Charles found companionship and joy with his beloved furry friend, Bubba and of course with his dearly loved daughter, Sharon.
In passing, Charles was reunited with the love of his life, Jean, his mother Inez Tooker, and his two sisters; Nancy Tooker and Peggy Polansky. Left to cherish his memory are his daughter Sharon Staehs, grandson Tracy Bickel, granddaughter Samantha (Steven) Harris and great granddaughter Kyndall Taylor. Charles lived his life to its fullest for 92 years and will be dearly missed by all who know and love him until the day they are united once more.
Charles will be cremated and laid to rest at a later date in Waco, Texas beside his dearly loved wife, Jean.
