Charlie Reardon

Funeral services for Mr. Charlie Reardon, 91, of Kilgore will be held on Saturday, March 23, 2024. Visitation will be from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. and the service will be held at 1:00 p.m. in the Chapel at Rader Funeral Home in Kilgore TX with Dr. Paul Michael Vacca officiating. Burial with military honors will follow at the Rusk County Memorial Gardens. Mr. Reardon passed away at his home surrounded by his family on Tuesday, March 19, 2024.

Charles Arthur Ray Reardon was born on July 26, 1932, in Haynesville, Louisiana. Charlie grew up in Rusk County. He graduated from Gaston High School and attended Kilgore College. Charlie served his country in the United States Army. Following his time in the Army Charlie went to work as an Oil Field Mechanic. He was very much respected in his field and traveled around the world for work. When he wasn’t working, he was tinkering on something around the house. Charlie was a longtime member of First Baptist Church Liberty City. He enjoyed working crossword puzzles and word search. He was a loving husband and great father to his children.

Left to cherish Charlie’s memory are his daughters, Pam Mayes (John Lawson) of Kilgore, and Angie Boone Grubbs (Brad Grubbs) of Mesquite; stepchildren, Keith Weber of Spicewood, and Nanette Hallum (Kerry Hallum) of Bay City; two grandsons, Rick Boone, and Daniel Boone; step grandchildren, Garrett Hallum, Brittan Hallum, Jessica Shields, and Cassie Crudo; and step great-granddaughter, Shelly Shields.

Charlie was preceded in death by his parents, siblings and his wife of 31 years, Helen Nadine Reardon.
