Graveside services for Daniel Oliver, 43, of Gilmer will be held on Saturday, July 13, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. at the Crim’s Chapel Cemetery in Rusk County. Reverend Mark Fried and Reverend Greg Martin will officiate the service. The family will receive friends at Rader Funeral Home in Kilgore on Friday, July 12 from 6:00 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. Daniel passed away in a Tyler hospital on Tuesday, July 9.
Daniel was born on August 8, 1980, in Longview. He attended Mobberly Baptist Church in Longview. Daniel worked as a Plumber for many years in the East Texas area with his father. He is remembered by his family and friends for being a very loyal and giving person, who was always willing to help anyone in need. He loved his family and never met a stranger. Daniel was a very accepting person, never one to judge others. He was a dog lover and especially his dog “Roscoe”.
In passing, Daniel was reunited with his mother, Becky Oliver; grandparents, Glen Faye and Elsie Livers, O.E. and Madie Oliver, and Bonnie Gibson.
Daniel is survived by his parents, Don and Janie Oliver of Longview; brother, David Oliver of Tatum; sisters, Janey White (Scott) of Jonesboro, Arkansas, and Sissie McCluskey (Chris) of Longview; Papa, Howard Gipson of Longview; nephews and niece, Tyler, Toby, and Tristan Oliver, Dakota and Arnell White, many aunts, uncles, cousins, and other family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, donations in honor of Daniel can be made to Mobberly’s Benevolence Ministry. This can be done a couple of ways : Write Checks to Mobberly and indicate “Benevolence” in the memo or go to Mobberly.org/give and Select “Family Services/Benevolence”
