Services for Mr. David Lawrence Tucker, 67, of Longview will be held on Friday, March 22, 2024, at Rader Funeral Home in Kilgore at two o’clock in the afternoon with Pastor Lee Bryan with burial following at Danville Cemetery. A visitation will be held on Thursday, March 21, 2024, from six until eight o’clock at Rader Funeral Home in Kilgore. Mr. Tucker completed his earthly journey on Friday, March 15, 2024, in Longview, Texas surrounded by his loving family.
David was born on August 17, 1956, in Kilgore, Texas to Helen Wix and Preston Ray Tucker. He was a proud Kilgore Bulldog and member of the 1974 graduating class. After High School he continued his education at Kilgore College obtaining his associate degree in oil and gas technology. Mr. Tucker worked for the Kilgore Police Department for twenty-five years before his retirement. David also worked at Longview Regional Medical Center in security for the past few years. He married the love of his life Patti Sue Golemon Tucker on July 18, 1980. They shared forty-three years of marriage, two children and countless joyful memories together. Mr. Tucker’s hobbies included playing guitar, shooting at the gun range, golfing, and tinkering with just about anything mechanical. David was a beloved husband, father, brother, uncle, and Pappy; he will be deeply missed by his family, lifelong friends, and Kilgore community.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife Patti Golemon Tucker of Longview, son Tim Tucker and wife Jessica of Kilgore, daughter Crystal Nikoomanesh and husband Ali of Murrieta, CA, grandchildren Briana Camille Tucker, Lleyton Austen Tucker, Rylan Joseph Tucker, Leila Dawn Nikoomanesh, and Evelyn Rose Nikoomanesh, siblings, Wastella Pope and husband Louie of Gilmer, Jay Tucker of Kilgore, George Tucker of Kilgore, Stanley Tucker of Gilmer and Nora Backus and husband Rick of Kilgore, father-in-law L.B. Golemon, sister-in-law Diana Lynn York and husband Bryan of Jacksonville, brother-in-law Gordon Douglas Golemon and wife Glenda of Jacksonville and numerous nieces, nephews, friends and other loving family members.
David was reunited with his parents Helen and Preston Tucker and mother-in-law Nancy Way Golemon.
