Deane Griffith

Deane (Willodean)Morgan Griffith passed into Heaven on June 29, 2023, in Kilgore, Tx after having Alzheimer’s for over 10 years. She spent the early years with her daughter, Kim and her last 8 years living with her daughter, Tanya who was her loving caregiver along with her daughter Shonnie and the help of their dear friend Brandy.

Deane Griffith was born October 31, 1936, and raised in Bonham, Texas. She married Herb Griffith after graduating high school and later moved to Kilgore, Texas where they raised their children, Kim, Daren and Tanya. They had a son Morgan Todd, who was born prematurely and lived only 3 days.

Deane was a loving mother, homemaker and talented at decorating, she enjoyed her home, always keeping it beautiful, inviting and immaculate, she was a great hostess and loved entertaining and and having family and friends over to swim and cook out.

She was the most precious "Nana" to all 6 of her grandchildren. They love to share stories of their "Nana" spending time with them, playing shopping, swimming eating, going to church or just hanging out. She is described not only by her Grandchildren as the "best" but everyone who had the pleasure of knowing her, loved her!

Those left to cherish Deane's memory are her daughter Kim Cline and husband David Cline of Longview, Tx son Daren Griffith and wife Trina Griffith of Longview, Tx and daughter Tanya Stokes of Kilgore Tx; Grandchildren are Carter Alan Cline, Damen Oden Griffith, Dax Morgan Griffith, ReShonda Clark Sullivan, Shadow Johnson Stokes, and Bucky Paul Duke; Great grandchildren are Blayden Gardner, Presley Clark, and Daner Griffith.

She was preceded in death by her parents Dewey and Lois Morgan and son Morgan Todd Griffith and husband, Herb Griffith.

Graveside services will be held at Long Branch Family Cemetery in Long Branch Tx on Saturday, July 1, 2023, at 2:00 P.M. with nephew Stuart Griffith speaking.
