Mr. Don Everett Grenier

Family visitation for Don Grenier, 70, of Kilgore, will be held on November 14, 2020 from 6-8pm at Rader Funeral Home. Cremation services will follow. Don lost his 31 day battle with Coronavirus on November 7, 2020 at 11am in Tyler. He is no longer suffering and is now at peace.

Don was born on November 22, 1949 in Garden City, Michigan to Homer Grenier and Elsie E. Rice. He enlisted in the US Navy in 1967. Don served in Vietnam where he was exposed to Agent Orange which contributed to his health issues. He was honorably discharged from the Navy in 1970. He worked for Exxon Mobil for 30 years and retired in 2005. Don spent his 15 years of retirement hunting, fishing, and joined the Gold Wing Riders Association in which he helped with several charity events. He was truly a loving and supportive man who was always there for all in his orbit. Don will forever be remembered in everyone’s heart.

Don was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Denis Bud Grenier; sister, Beverly Cade; and step father, James Williams.

Don is survived by his wife Clara of Kilgore; son, Wade H. Grenier and fiancé Melissa Shirk of Springfield, MO; granddaughters, Zoey Grenier and fiancé Cody Gann of Buffalo, MO and Haley Frye of Ozark, MO; grandson, Bryan Large of Springfield, MO along with his sisters and their children in Texas; brother, Marvin Grenier and partner Keith Curry of Tool, TX; sister, Diane Johnson of Surprise, AZ, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. He will also be sorely missed by his two closest friends, James Krabill of Cisco, TX and Raymond Brajas of Baytown, TX.
