Felipe Alverto Baltieras

Felipe affectionately known as “Pops” was born on February 17, 1957, in Lockhart, Texas. After completing his GED, Mr. Baltieras enlisted in the United States Marines. Felipe bravely served his country for four years before being honorably discharged. After returning from the service Mr. Baltieras began his career in logistics. Pops was a hard-working man that would give the shirt off his back to those in need. Mr. Baltieras was known for this kindness and rarely left his home without running into a friend, co-worker or acquaintance. 

 Felipe married the love of his life Jennifer Lyn Riley on May 11, 2000. They cherished twenty-five years together. Mr. Baltieras adored the time he spent with family and friends. He possessed the unique ability to make everyone feel welcomed and loved. Felipe’s hobbies included woodworking, singing karaoke and repairing just about anything with a problem. His absence will be felt by all those who had the pleasure of knowing Mr. Baltieras.

 Mr. Baltieras was preceded in death by his mother Donasiana Maria Torres Flores, grandfather Casianio Torres, grandmother Anita Aguilar Torres, sisters Carmen Gomez and Janie Luna and father-in-law Dennis Hill. 

 Left to cherish Felipe’s memory are his wife Jennifer Baltieras of Kilgore, children Hector Baltierra and wife Miranda of Nacogdoches, Texas, Delynda Baltierra of Kilgore, John Baltierra and wife Carmen of Kilgore, Michael Baltierra of Kilgore and Josh Allen and girlfriend Hailey Frey of Kilgore. Felipe’s siblings Johnny Torres, David Torres, Elias Torres, Jr. Lopez, Lucy Ann Lopez, Mary Ann Lopez and Virgina Lopez. Sister-in-law Lisa Box of Kilgore, mother-in-law, Kathy “Ma” Hill, grandchildren, Aiden Baltierra, Alexis Baltierra, Dontae Baltierra, Kaleb Baltierra, Mieklo Baltierra, Sylvia Baltierra, Victoria Baltierra, Garrett Baltierra, LaVieyah Baltierra, Violet Baltierra, Emillio Baltierra, Ean Baltierra, and Juilan Baltierra and two great grandchildren, Xavier and Baby Jay. Along with numerous nieces’ nephews and other loving friends and family members.

A visitation for Felipe “Pops” Baltieras, 67, of Kilgore, will be held on Tuesday, July 9, 2024, from six until eight o’clock in the evening at Rader Funeral Home in Kilgore. Mr. Baltieras passed away on Thursday, July 4, 2024, in Longview, Texas.
