Francis Rae Dykes, a beloved homemaker and devoted family matriarch, passed away peacefully on January 14, 2025, in Whitehouse, Texas. Born on February 5, 1932, in Natchitoches, Louisiana, she lived a full life marked by her love for crafting and spending time with her family.
Throughout her years, Francis enjoyed knitting and crocheting. Mrs. Dykes was a homemaker, and she cherished each moment spent with her children, grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren spending time with them is when she was the happiest.
Francis is survived by her son, Randy Dykes Sr. of Overton, Texas, and her daughter, Bennette Mowery of White Oak. She was a proud grandmother to Randy Dykes Jr. of Rincon, Georgia; Jessie Dykes and his wife of Whitehouse, Texas; Terry Dykes and his wife of Kilgore, Texas; Michael Mowery of White Oak, Texas; Chris Mowery of White Oak, Texas; and Justin Dykes of Arp, Texas, as well as fourteen cherished great-grandchildren. Additionally, she is remembered fondly by numerous nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Randolph Dykes, and her son, Alson Dykes. Francis also mourned the loss of her brother, Hampton Clark, and her grandson, David Walker Jr.
No services are scheduled currently. The family will hold a private memorial service at a later date.
