George William Ingle, III passed away on 22 January 2025 surrounded by his loving family. A devoted husband, father, brother and son, he was someone who truly embodied resilience, determination and joy. As a Vietnam Veteran from the 173rd, he faced challenges most of us can only imagine. Yet, he came through them with a strength that was nothing short of extraordinary. That same strength carried him into his post-military life, where he built something incredible: a loving family, a community that adored him and a successful natural gas business, Ingle Compressor, that he ran with his wife Martha Jane Ingle. It wasn’t just a career for him; it was a testament to his grit, his ingenuity, and his ability to create a future on his own terms.
George was more than the roles he played or the battles he fought. He was loud, funny, and unapologetically himself. His laugh could fill a room, and his stories were legendary. He had a way of making you feel at ease, making you laugh, and making you think all at once. Whether he was helping a friend, guiding a colleague, or just lending an ear, he showed up for people with a heart as big as his personality.
He taught his family that no matter the obstacles life throws at you, you can overcome them. He didn’t just survive; he thrived. He took on life’s challenges and came out the other side victorious, leaving a legacy of love, laughter, and perseverance.
He is survived by his three daughters, Melissa (MJ), Gelana and Emily Kealey, along with her husband, David Kealey. Finally, his adoring grandchildren, Meg, Madeline, Ian, Sasha, John, Lila and Mara.
A celebration of his life will be held on Monday, January 27, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at the Rader Funeral Home Chapel in Kilgore. Visitation will start at 1:00 p.m. prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Wounded Warrior Project or Hope for Warriors.
George will be deeply missed by his family and friends and the entire community of Kilgore. His legacy and his honor will be forever remembered by all. Thank you for your service and commitment to this country.
