Gumaro Chávez was born on October 11, 1940 in Olivo, San Luis Potosí, Mexico. Son of Leocadio and Matilde Chavez.

Gumaro Chávez married María Irene Chávez Borrego. From that union 10 children were born, 8 of them now married: Prisco & Josefa Chávez, Daniel & Elvira Chávez, Francisco & Celia Chávez, Pablo Chavez & Maria Chavez, María Juana Chávez, Carmen & Miguel Juárez, sister, Tomasa Sosa, María de Jesús & Ricardo Cedillo, Esther & Miguel Rosas . Gumaro Chávez was preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Josefa Chávez, Asunción Chávez, Telesforo Chávez, Gavino Chavez; and by his children, German Chávez and Lilia Baldazo.

Gumaro Chávez is considered by his family and friends as a hard worker, who was always active in different functions. A man who enjoyed tending his vegetable crops but, above all, a cheerful man who liked to spend time with his family.

He was a member of the Henderson/Kilgore Seventh-day Adventist Church. He had the enormous blessing of seeing 28 grandchildren born and growing up and of enjoying his 27 great- grandchildren who were his pride and joy because he liked to spend time with all of them. Being surrounded by his abundant family gave him happiness and peace of mind. Gumaro was a loving husband, father and grandfather. His memory will always live in the hearts of his family.

Gumaro was a man who believed in God. Despite illnesses, he remained faithful to God and rested on January 31, 2022, in the blessed hope of being resurrected on the glorious morning when Christ returns.

Gumaro Chávez, nació el 11 de octubre de 1940 en el Olivo, San Luis Potosí, México. Hijo de Leocadio y Matilde Chávez.

Gumaro Chávez contrajo matrimonio con María Irene Chávez Borrego. De esa unión nacieron 10 hij@s, 8 de ellos ahora casados: Prisco & Josefa Chávez, Daniel & Elvira Chávez, Francisco & Celia Chávez, Pablo Chavez & Maria Chavez, María Juana Chávez, Carmen & Miguel Juárez, María de Jesús & Ricardo Cedillo, Esther & Miguel Rosas. Gumaro Chávez fue precedido en la muerte por sus padres y herman@s Josefa Chávez, Asunción Chávez, Telesforo Chávez; y por sus hijos German Chávez y Lilia Baldazo.

Gumaro Chávez es considerado por su familia y amigos como alguien trabajador, que siempre estuvo activo en diferentes funciones. Un hombre que disfrutaba atender sus cultivos de hortalizas pero sobre todo un hombre alegre que gustaba pasar tiempo en familia.

Fue miembro de la Iglesia Adventista del Séptimo Día de Henderson/Kilgore. Tuvo la enorme bendición de ver nacer y crecer a 28 nietos y de disfrutar a sus 27 bisnietos quienes eran su orgullo y alegría pues le gustaba compartir tiempo con todos ellos. Estar rodeado de su abundante familia le proporcionaba felicidad y tranquilidad. Gumaro fue un amado esposo, padre y abuelo; su recuerdo siempre vivirá en el corazón de su familia.

Gumaro fue un hombre que creía en Dios. A pesar de las enfermedades, se mantuvo fiel a Dios y descansó el 31 de enero del 2022, con la bendita esperanza de resucitar en la mañana gloriosa cuando Cristo vuelva.
