Janet Dawn Russell

Mrs. Janet Dawn Gossage Russell passed away on Wednesday, July 10, 2024, in Henderson. Janet was born on September 9, 1944 in Kilgore to the late Jay C. Gossage and Eunice Lorraine Bamberg. 

 Janet was born at Roy H. Laird Memorial Hospital and was a lifelong resident of Kilgore. Janet graduated from Kilgore High School in 1962 and was a graduate of Kilgore College. She had a great love of cats, dogs, horses and enjoyed barrel racing in area rodeos. Janet worked as bookkeeper for American Supply plumbing and later worked for Edmonds Machine shop. Janet followed her passions and enjoyed her life to its fullest. She was a loving and caring sister, aunt and friend who will be missed by all that knew her. 

 She was preceded in death by her husband, King David Russell and her parents. 

 Janet is survived by her brother, William E. Gossage and wife Sandra of Clarksville City, Texas and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins as well as other loving family members.

 Graveside services for Janet Dawn Gossage Russell, 79 of Kilgore will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, July 12, 2024 at Kilgore Memorial Gardens Cemetery with Rev. David Hampton officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 7:30 Thursday evening at Rader Funeral Home in Kilgore.
