Janice Venita Allums

Services for Janice Allums, 83 of Kilgore will be 6:00~8:00 p.m. Monday, January 18, 2021 at Rader Funeral Home in Kilgore. Mrs. Allums passed away on Wednesday, January 13, 2021 in Longview.

Janice was born on January 1, 1938 in Kilgore to the late W.L. Hobbs and Florence Lydia Brown. She graduated from Kilgore High School in 1956 where she was in the band and was a Majorette. Janice was a Baptist and homemaker. She was a loving and caring mother, sister, grandmother and great grandmother who will be missed by all that knew her.

She is survived by her daughter, Jennifer Portwood and husband Trae of White Oak, Texas; brother, Mickey Hobbs of Kilgore; sister, Sylvia Yancy of Kilgore; grandchildren, Whitney Vick, Ty Portwood and Taylor Portwood Winters and great grandchildren, Riley Curtis, Brendan Curtis and Hudson Winters as well as other loving family members.
