Graveside services for Mr. J.B. Pace, 88, of Kilgore will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, February 10, 2024, at the Danville Cemetery with Mr. Lane Brown officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Friday evening at Rader Funeral Home in Kilgore. Mr. Pace passed away on Tuesday, February 6, 2024, at his residence in Kilgore.
J.B. was born on March 4, 1935, in Navarro Co., Texas, son to the late Lester Odis Pace and Martha Walker. He graduated from Wortham High School in 1954 and attended Kilgore College. J.B. was a faithful member of Chandler Street Church of Christ and retired from Texas Eastman on March 1, 1981, and later formed Alford-Pace Air Conditioning systems. His family will remember him as a loving father, brother, grandfather and friend who will be missed by all that knew him. J.B. and Camelia enjoyed traveling the world, and even traveled to Europe and Jamaica. J.B. didn’t know how to not work; his shop was the first place anyone would go to see him. He constantly had woodworking or metal projects going on. He loved to build things for his kids and grandkids and do little “honey do’s” for Camelia.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Camelia Pace; daughter, Marti Daniels; son-in-law, Philip Daniels, brother, Marles Pace and grandson, Scott Shafer.
J.B. is survived by his daughter, Regina Pace Jordan of Kilgore; sons, Byron Pace and wife Terrie of Kilgore and Shelby Pace and wife Kerry of Kilgore; brother, Odis Kenneth Pace of Kilgore; 13 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and other loving family members.
The family would like to give special thanks to Hospice Plus of Longview.
