Jimmy was born on February 16, 1956, in Kilgore, TX, the 3rd oldest of 8 children. After losing their dad, he left school to help his mom provide for his brothers and sisters. Starting at a young age, he worked numerous jobs before settling in the Oil and Gas Industry working as a Diesel Mechanic and Truck driver until the age of 67. Benbo was a man of many trades, there wasn’t anything he couldn’t Fix, Drive, or have the answer for to lend his helping hand. He was a dedicated, hardworking, thick-skinned, and wholehearted father and provider that many called on throughout the years and his heart and arms would always be open despite his own trials and tribulations. Benbo was a man that truly loved his family and friends, BUT his greatest blessings called him Daddy and Pawpaw.
He was preceded in death by his parents Buster and Betty Harrod, Brothers Buster Jr and Corky Harrod; Sisters Nita Hopkins and Janie Robles; Niece Latrisha Harrod; Nephew Adrian Harrod; Father-in-law Joe Bob Wilson.
