Joe David Russell, 3rd son of Cason and Betty Russell, born April 6th, 1950 in Nacogdoches, Texas passed away in Kilgore, Texas on November 10th, 2024.
In his passing as a son, brother, husband, father, uncle, in- law, grandfather and great grandfather he is survived by brother Donald Cason Russell, daughters Wendy Renita Russell Bolton and Madora Ann White Lopez, beloved nephew Benjamin Matthew McKnight with many more nieces and nephews; In-laws Lewis and Linda Wright, Randy and Linda Barton and Jerrel Truitt. Grandchildren Meagan Applon, Justin Stone, Jalyn Thompson and Roman Garcia. Great grandchildren Xzavier Applon, Aden Applon, Karsin Stone, Gunner McCellon and Payson Thompson.
Joe is preceded in death by his parents Cason and Betty Russell, brothers Ernest Russell, Angus Russell and Oran Russell. Love of his life, Beloved wife Debra J Wright Russell, In-laws Kenneth Wright and Anita Truitt.
Joe was a Manager for Rig Runner Express close to 40 years. He worked with many drivers and staff members in a once thriving successful business that allowed him and his wife a prosperous life. Joe loved to hunt, fish and golf with best friends David Theriot, James Martin and JW Silvertooth. In his early years he was a member of the FFA, a basketball point guard for the Douglass Indians and loved to play 42. Joe loved to pick and play with all his nephews, nieces, family and friends. Aggravating was he way of loving. He died knowing his Lord and Savior through the teaching and membership at Grace Baptist Church.
An expression of love and gratitude to Melissa, Tammy, Belinda and all the wonderful health care providers who loved Joe as their own. Joe will be greatly missed. He was one of a kind and in memory will live on.
Visitation will be held on November 13, 2024, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at 401 N Martin St, Kilgore, Texas. A funeral service will take place the following day, November 14, 2024, at 11:00 AM, also at Rader Funeral Home located at 401 North Martin Street, Kilgore, Texas. The interment will follow at Danville Cemetery.
