John C. Moore, a spirited soul who brought laughter and joy to the hearts of many, passed away on April 22, 2025, in Mineola, Texas. Born on May 13, 1958, in Kilgore, John was known for his wild and crazy personality, often speaking whatever popped into his head—a trait that brought delight and laughter to those fortunate enough to know him. He had a unique ability to make others smile, always putting their needs before his own, embodying the essence of selflessness and generosity.
Throughout his life, John worked in the oil field to provide for his family. He was a welder for many years, worked in construction, and could fix almost anything. His hands were as strong as his humorous spirit. However, it was not just his labor that defined him; it was his personality—a selfless and giving man who always put others first. John loved to joke and make people laugh, lighting up rooms with his infectious humor and boundless energy. His laughter was a melody, and his heart welcomed all, making him a beloved figure among friends and family alike.
John’s family was his proudest accomplishment. He is survived by his loving sons, Johnny Moore, Jason Moore and his wife Amanda Moore, and Dusty Seaton. His legacy continues through his precious grandchildren, Nick Moore, Hailey Posey, Jayci Moore, Jersi Moore, and Daxton Seaton, who will forever hold dear the memories of their grandfather’s playful spirit. In addition to his immediate family, John created countless memories with his siblings, Sheila McGill, Janet Burns, and Marilyn Vinson, along with numerous nieces, nephews, and many friends, who will carry his laughter and memory in their hearts.
John was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Melba and Leon Moore, and his siblings Dianne Houston, Ricky Moore, Jimmy Moore, and Ronnie Moore. Though they may be separated by time and space, his family’s bond is woven together with love and rich memories of a remarkable man.
In celebration of John’s life, friends and family are invited to gather for a visitation at Rader Funeral Home in Kilgore on Monday, April 28, 2025, from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM.
