Johnnie David Wilson Jr., a beloved husband, father, and friend, passed away peacefully on July 24th, 2024. He was born June 20, 1954 in Winters, Texas, to the late Johnnie and Juanita Wilson.

David dedicated 38 years of his career to Halliburton Energy Services, where he was known for his commitment and expertise. Following his tenure at Halliburton, he consulted for two years before retiring. His professional journey was marked by integrity and dedication, qualities that earned him the respect of colleagues and peers.

Outside of his professional life, David was passionate about bird hunting, golfing, taking pride in maintaining his home, and cherishing moments spent with family and friends. He enjoyed watching westerns and was a devoted member of St. Luke's Methodist Church in Kilgore, Texas, where he was an active member for 32 years. David was a devoted family man whose presence will be deeply missed by all that knew him.

David is survived by his loving wife, Karen Wilson of Liberty City, his son, Wade Wilson and wife Jessica of Broomfield, Colorado and numerous aunts, cousins and other loving family members.

David's warmth, kindness, and unwavering commitment to those he loved will be remembered fondly by all who knew him. His legacy of love and dedication will continue to inspire and uplift those he leaves behind.

A memorial service will be held 11:00 a.m. August 17th, 2024, at St Luke's Methodist Church with Rev. Allison Andrews officiating. The family requests that donations be made to The St Luke's Church in Johnnie's memory.
