Keary Jean Anderson

Funeral services for Mrs. Keary “Jean” Anderson, 81, of Kilgore will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, November 24, 2020 at the Rader Funeral Home Chapel in Kilgore with Reverend David Hampton officiating. Burial will follow at 2:00 p.m. at the Avery Cemetery in Avery, Texas. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from 6:00 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. Jean passed away on Saturday, November 20, 2020 in Kilgore.


She was born on November 20, 1939 in Avery, Texas, daughter of Horace and Ruth Connell. Jean worked as a beautician for many years, before going to work at Kilgore College as Resident Life Director in the Rangerette dorm. She was a faithful member of First Baptist Church Kilgore, where she was active in her Sunday School Class. Jean was honored by being recognized as an Honorary Lifetime Rangerette's Forever. She loved spending time with family and especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.


Jean is survived by her sons, Tim Anderson of Kilgore and Chris Anderson of Aberdeen, North Carolina; grandchildren, Dakota Gibbs, Brook Anderson, Bryce Pobuda, Brandon Anderson, C.J. Anderson, Austin, Anderson, Jacob Anderson, and Luke Anderson; great-grandchildren, Olive Taylor Cooper, Evelynn Blake Cooper, and Emery Lee Gibbs; along with other family and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Horace B. “Jack” Anderson; father Horace Connell and mother and stepfather, Ruth and Pete Smith.
