Kenneth Wayne Wright

Funeral services for Mr. Kenneth Wayne Wright, 82, of Kilgore will be held on Wednesday, December 21, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. in the Rader Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Ken Davis officiating. Burial will follow at the Overton Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home in Kilgore on Tuesday from 6:00 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. Kenneth passed away Friday in Tyler.

Mr. Wright was born on June 2, 1940, in Frankston, Texas, he was the son of the late John and Juanita Wright. Kenneth attended Fellowship Baptist Church in Liberty City. He worked in the oil and gas fields of East Texas until his retirement. Ken enjoyed playing golf, he loved to work in his garden and play the guitar. He loved his family and enjoyed attending his grandchildren’s sporting events.

Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents, John and Juanita Wright; wife, Virginia Wright; son, Cecil Wright, and sister, Debra Jo Russell; son-n-law, Steve Carpenter.

Kenneth is survived by his daughters, Terry Gounah and husband Kelly of New London, Cindy Carpenter of Longview, and Mary Kay Endsley and husband Mickey of Kilgore; brother, Louis Wright and wife Linda Kay of Kilgore; sisters, Nina Kay Truitt and husband Gerald of Kilgore, and Linda Lou Barton and husband Randy of Kilgore; brother-in-law, Joe Russell of Kilgore; grandchildren, Heather Evans (Tracy), Jessica Normans(Jared), Tara Peck (Randall), Ashley Jones (Chris), Blaine Weiterman (Jamie), Haley Edney (Carson), and Hillarie Sandoval (Jeremy); several great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
