Laura Anita Adams, 72, of Kilgore, Texas, passed away on October 13, 2024, after a long and courageous battle with Parkinson’s Disease. Laura was born on January 28, 1952, to the late Geneva and Oscar Hall in Ramseur, North Carolina.
It would be wrong to say that Laura lost her battle because she never stopped fighting. No matter how sick she became, she remained determined. When others might have broken, Laura stayed strong. She never gave up. Her passing does not signify defeat, but the end of a long, hard-fought journey.
Laura cherished time spent with her family and friends. Her sisters held a special place in her heart, and being with them meant the world to her. She could out-shop anyone, but one of her greatest joys was out-fishing the love of her life, Rusty.
Laura is survived by her devoted husband, Rusty(Kilgore, Texas) and their children: Anita Eastin (Avondale, Pennsylvania) and her husband Eric; Beth Pemberton (Royse City, Texas) and her husband Trace; and Chip Adams (Kilgore, Texas). She also leaves behind her beloved grandchildren: Daulton Eastin, Cameron Pemberton, Nathan Dolbee, Justin Dolbee, Carter Eastin, and Braxton Eastin, as well as a legacy of great grandchildren. Laura is survived by her siblings: Verna Martin, Lynda Vestal, Vivian Beal, and Wayne Hall, as well as many cherished nieces and nephews and other loving family members.
Memorial services for Laura Anita Adams will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday, October 18, 2024 at the Chapel of Rader Funeral Home in Kilgore with Rev. David Hampton officiating and all are welcome to attend. Her cremains will be laid to rest in North Carolina at a date to be determined.
