Private service arrangements for Lethie Coffey Mulanax, 90, of Kilgore are under the direction of Rader Funeral Home in Kilgore. Lethie passed away on Thursday, February 9, 2023 at her residence in Kilgore surrounded by her loving family.
Mrs. Mulanax was born on June 22, 1932 in Kilgore, Texas to Melton Clyde Coffey and Mary Elizabeth Cox. Lethie was a member of the First Christian Church and member of the Order of Eastern Star. Mrs. Mulanax owned and operated Lester’s Garage along with her husband Lester for many years. Lethie was known as the “Lady Walker” around the Chandler Schools neighborhood and put many miles on her tennis shoes. She was especially fond of her loving grandchildren and was better known as Memaw. She was a loving and caring mother, sister, grandmother, great grandmother who will be missed by all that knew her.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Melton and Mary Coffey; husband, Lester Mulanax in 2012; sisters, Majorie Brenner, Elizabeth “Lizzie” Hollowell, Merline Layne and Ruby Sanders; brothers, Clyde Coffey and Eugene “Bud” Coffey.
Left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Tajuana Mulanax Witt and husband Dennis of Big Spring, Texas; son, Ricky Mulanax and wife Melody of Kilgore; brothers, Bill Coffey and wife Kathy of Temple, Texas and James Coffey of Temple, Texas; grandchildren, Terek Mulanax and wife Angela, Blayne Mulanax and wife Laura, Bradley Griffin and Brandy, Braden Witt and Cody Witt; great grandchildren, Blakelee Mulanax, Jake Rockett, Lilly Mulanax, Levi Mulanax, Kayden Griffin, Karlea Griffin and Kamdon Griffin as well as numerous nieces, nephews and other loving family members.
