Lewis Winford Phelps
Services for Winford Phelps, 56, of White Oak will be held Saturday, September 18, 2021, at ten o’clock in the morning at the Chapel of Rader Funeral home in Kilgore with Pastor Vaun Henry. Visitation will be held Friday, September 17, 2021, at the Chapel of Rader Funeral Home in Kilgore, from six until eight o’clock in the evening. Winford Phelps ended his earthly journey on September 13, 2021, in Longview at Christus Good Shepherd.
He s was born on May 31, 1965 to Lewis Gene Phelps and the late Nancy Davidson Phelps of Kilgore , Texas. He graduated from Pinecrest Christian Academy in 1983. He married the love of his life Deborah Beall on November 21, 1986. They shared one son, and 34 wonderful years of marriage together. He enjoyed being outdoors, hunting, fishing, watching westerns and listening to rock music. Winford was also a prankster and enjoyed telling jokes and riddles. He and Deborah are members of Emmanuel Baptist Church of White Oak for twenty plus years. Winford Phelps was a loving husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, son-in law, brother-in-law ,uncle, and friend. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Deborah Beall Phelps of White Oak , son William Gene Phelps of White Oak, Granddaughter Madi Nicole Phelps ,Father Lewis Gene Phelps of Kilgore, sister Tonya Phelps Willis and husband David Willis of Kilgore, sister Crystal Phelps Chessher and husband Glenn Chessher of Saratoga, numerous nieces, nephews, friends and other loving family members.
Winford was reunited with his mother Nancy Davidson Phelps in Heaven.
