Margie Landry

A memorial service for Margie Landry, 84, of Kilgore will be held on Friday, May 3, 2019 at 1:00 P.M. in the Rader Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Dudley Plaisance officiating. Ms. Landry died Friday, April 26, 2019 at her home.

Marjoria Dahlia Landry was born July 25, 1934 in Lisbon, Arkansas to George Walker and Lilly Dahlia Darden. She attended Smackover, Arkansas public schools and after graduation moved to south Louisiana where she lived most of her life. Margie managed a credit union, printing business and insurance agency. She was a licensed realtor and owned and operated an employment agency. After her retirement she worked for Walmart. Ms. Landry moved to Kilgore in 2006 and was a member of Pirtle Methodist Church. She enjoyed reading and working in the yard.

Margie is survived by her son Rusty Allen of Kilgore; one sister, Gloria Tarver of Kilgore; a brother, Ebb Darden of Smackover, Arkansas; grandson, Russell Allen of St. Amant, Louisiana; step children, Robert and Karen Landry of Ponchatoula, Louisiana, Richard Landry of Lulling, Louisiana.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Mearl Darden, husbands, O.L. Allen, Jr. and Warren Landry.
