Mary Miller Montgomery

Services for Mrs. Mary Montgomery, 95, of Kilgore will be held on Wednesday, August 5, 2020 at 2:00 P.M. in the Rader Funeral Home Chapel with Chaplain Lawrence Thompson officiating. Burial will follow at the Danville Cemetery. Mrs. Montgomery passed away at her home in Kilgore on Saturday, August 1, 2020.
Mary was born on June 11, 1925 in Lavada, Texas. She was the daughter of the late E.A. and Minnie Miller. Mrs. Montgomery worked at the Streamliner and the Community Inn. Mary was a member of the Eastview Baptist Church for many years, she enjoyed playing the organ and piano. She loved cooking and spending time with her family. Mary will be remembered by her family as a loving mother, grandmother, and friend.
Mary is survived by her children, Eddie Montgomery and wife Candi of Kilgore, Ronnie Montgomery of Kilgore, Donald Shannon and wife Tracy of Kilgore, and Patricia Lackey of Kilgore; daughter-in-law, Donna Shannon; many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and other family and friends. Mrs. Montgomery was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Edwin C. Shannon and Clyde Lee Montgomery; son, Clayton Shannon; brothers, Irvin and Leonard Miller, daughters-in-law, Kathy Montgomery and Susie Montgomery; son-in-law, Johnny Lackey.
