Maxine Fowler Dennison

August 29, 1945 — May 2, 2024

Maxine Fowler Dennison of Gilmer, Texas, went to be with Jesus on May 2nd, 2024, at the age of 78. She was born on August 29, 1945, in Charleston, South Carolina to C.W. (Bud) and Hazel Collum Fowler.


Maxine graduated from Longview High School in 1963 and worked many years as a medical transcriptionist. She loved growing plants and flowers, crocheting, and playing cards with friends. She also enjoyed time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She will always be remembered for her big laugh and generous spirit.


She is survived by her sons, Paul and wife Leann Spencer of Longview, Tx, Jay and wife Misty Spencer of Rowlett, Tx, and Mickey Spencer of Gilmer, Tx, her brother Marion and wife Linda Fowler of Longview Tx, her sister, Jody Bennett of Henderson, Tx, four grandchildren and five great grandchildren.


She is preceded in death by her parents, Bud and Hazel Fowler, husband, Ronnie Spencer, husband, Lanis Dennison, son, Robbie Spencer, and grandson, Joshua Spencer.


A service will be held to celebrate her life with lunch following for all friends and family. Services will be held on Saturday, May 4, 2024, at 12 PM at Soules Chapel Methodist Church located at 7713 FM 556, Gilmer, TX.
