Mr. Jay Ralph Carter

Cremation arrangements for Ralph Carter, 85 of Kilgore are under the direction of Rader Funeral Home in Kilgore. Mr. Carter completed his earthly journey on Sunday, March 10, 2024.

Ralph was born on January 18, 1939, in Victoria, Texas to Lilliam Urban. After graduating from Victoria High School, Ralph joined the United States Armed Forces. Mr. Carter bravely served his Country for two years before being honorably discharged. Ralph graduated from Texas A & I in Kingsville, Texas obtaining his accounting degree. He worked for Kirby Company as an accountant for numerous years before his retirement. Ralph married the love of his life Cleo McCormick on January 25, 1992. They just celebrated their thirtieth anniversary. Mr. Carter adored sports. He spent much of his free time enjoying baseball, football, basketball, and soccer games. Ralph was a devoted husband and father; he will be deeply missed.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife Cleo McCormick Carter of Kilgore, daughter Deb McCoy and husband Lowell of Kilgore, son Brian K. McClure and wife Ann, beloved fur-baby Stella, numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and other loving family members and lifelong friends.
