Visitation will be held an hour prior to the service at Forest Home Baptist Church. Burial will immediately follow the service at Hickory Grove Cemetery in Rusk County. Mrs. Ragle, known by many as Honey, completed her earthly journey on Tuesday, May 21, 2024, in Longview surrounded by her loving family.

Sharon was born on April 28, 1947, in Kilgore, Texas, to Mildred Louise Moyer Zevely and Blythe Lebus Zevely. After graduating from Kilgore High School, she continued her education at Kilgore College and Sam Houston State University before obtaining a Bachelor’s degree in education from Baylor University where she was honored by the College of Education with the Dr. Mary Harrington Award for Most Outstanding Student. Sharon married the love of her life Kenneth Wayne Ragle on July 29, 1966. From that day they became an inseparable team. You rarely saw Sharon without Ken by her side. They shared countless milestones and adventures, two daughters and close to 60 years of marriage.

Sharon was a member of the Evergreen Garden Club and Beta Sigma Phi. She was a devoted Christian and long-time member of Forest Home Baptist Church. She was the embodiment of a classy lady, and her faith was intertwined in every aspect of her life. Sharon began impacting the lives of many students throughout her career in education at Connally ISD where she taught for fifteen years. After returning home to Kilgore, she taught at Pine Tree ISD for ten years before retirement. She had a rare gift for understanding and empathy. She always knew the right words to say, offering comfort and guidance during the toughest times. Her wisdom wasn't just in the advice she gave, but in the way she lived her life—with integrity, kindness, and a deep sense of purpose. Sharon had a unique way of making everyone feel valued and loved. She was humble and wise, strong in her convictions and gracious with her love. She became Honey to all around her.

Honey fiercely loved her family, especially her grandchildren. She never missed an activity they were in, and in her eyes, they were the star of the show. She spent much of her time reading, writing and cheering for her Texas Rangers. Honey was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, sister and friend to many. She will be deeply missed by all those who had the pleasure of knowing her.

Left to cherish her memory are her husband Kenneth Wayne Ragle of Kilgore, daughters Shelly Wood and husband Brian of Kilgore and Zevely Hatcher and husband Chris of Kilgore; brother Gary Zevely and wife Judy of Fulshear, brother-in-law Bobby Joe Walker of Monroe, grandchildren Maci Blythe Hatcher of Denton, Jackson Ragle Hatcher and wife Rachel of Fort Worth, Collin Wood and Emily West and husband Brady of Waco, great-grandchildren Rilynn West, and Gracelyn West of Waco; nephews Clay Zevely and wife Regina, and Scott Zevely, and niece Ann Zevely Terry and husband Paul along with numerous cousins, church family and friends.

Sharon was reunited with her parents and brother Daryl Zevely.

In lieu of flowers the Ragle family requested that memorial donation be made to the Forest Home Baptist Church of Kilgore Children and Youth program located at 15746 County Rd 173 N, Kilgore, TX 75662 or online at https://fhbckilgore.com/donate
