Pamela Louise Davis

March 22, 1949 — January 8, 2025

Kilgore

Pamela Louise Stark-Davis, a beloved member of the Kilgore community, was born on March 22, 1949, in Kermit, Texas, to the late Frank Claude Stark and Vivian Louise Stark. In 1954, she moved to East Texas, where she would later meet her soulmate. On October 3, 1970, Pamela married Stanley Ray Davis in Longview, embarking on a journey together that would span over 53 beautiful years.

Pamela's loving spirit and dedication to her community were evident throughout her life. She was an active member of various local churches, including Kilgore Bible Church, St. Luke's Methodist Church, and First Baptist Church in Kilgore, sharing her faith and kindness with all who crossed her path. In the 1980s and 90s, she served as a bus operator for Kilgore ISD, a role that showcased her nurturing nature and commitment to serving others. For 40 years, Pamela also shared joy and beauty with her community as an Avon Representative.

An avid reader, Pamela frequented the Kilgore Public Library, checking out over 1,100 books in the last 15 years alone. In her cherished spare time, she found joy in bird watching in her backyard, camping in the scenic State and National Parks across the country, and traveling to new places with family and friends.

Her faith in the Lord was a cornerstone of Pamela's life, and she radiated love for Jesus. She never hesitated to speak of her faith and share her testimony, leaving a profound impact on those around her.

Pamela was welcomed into heaven on January 8, 2025, reuniting with her parents, her cherished husband Stanley, her brother Byron Stark, sister Elena Rose Stark, and niece Cara Delgado. She leaves behind a loving family who will forever carry her memory in their hearts. She is survived by her brother, Bruce Stark; her two daughters, Athena Pond and husband Eric of Tatum, and Angela Byrd of Kilgore; two grandchildren, Nikke Knapp and husband Jonathan of Tatum, and Sierra Byrd of Kilgore; as well as two great grandchildren, Lynnlee Martin and Jackson Knapp of Tatum. Also remembering her are her nephews Bruce Stark II and wife Diane, and Joel Stark and his wife Nadia.

A visitation to honor their Pamela’s life will be held on Friday, January 10, 2025, from five until seven in the evening at Rader Funeral Home in Kilgore. As we gather to celebrate her cherished memory, let us remember the love she brought into our lives and the moments we were fortunate to share.

Pamela Louise Stark-Davis will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. Her warmth, faith, and love will continue to inspire those whose lives she touched.
