Peggy "Jojo" Harding

Peggy 'Jo Jo' Harding, passed away peacefully in her home in Kilgore at the age of 91 on January 8, 2024.

She is survived by her daughters, Lesa (Roger) Chan and Cheryl (Bill) Cargill, her brother Ronnie Close, granddaughters Megan Chan and Katherine (John) Adams, great-grandchildren Kayla, Shelly, Gracie and River, two great-great-grandchildren, nieces Kristi and Kimberly, nephews Terry and Greg and other loving family members, friends, fellow birders, neighbors, and most recently her sweet caregivers.

Peggy was preceded in death by her husband M.M. (Tommy) Harding, parents James H. and Esther Close, sister Lou Ann, brothers Sonny and Donny and grandson Eric.

A memorial visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 17 2024, from 12:00pm - 2:00pm in the Rader Funeral Home State Room with a memorial gathering starting at 1:30 by the Rev. David Hampton. In lieu of flowers the family suggests donation to a cause dear to Peggy’s heart, the Houston Audubon Land Rescue Fund, 440 Wilchester Blvd, Houston TX 77079.
